_MG_9988Entries into the 2010 Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival will open online from 9am on June 1, 2010 and organizers are tipping entries into the triathlon will fill within hours.  Geoff Meyer, Managing Director of USM EVENTS, says the popularity of the triathlon is both exhilarating and challenging, with organisers working frantically to find more transition area to allow for hundreds of additional competitors each year.

NEW CENTURY COURSES GET THUMBS UP FROM RIDERS Monday, 24 May 2010

Century_2010_winnerThe new Noosa Century Rides were received with overwhelming approval from participants this morning. In the past two years the event has started in the heart of Brisbane before winding its way to Noosa. But this year both the 160km and 100km event started and finished in Noosa and while they were weary as they crossed the line all agreed it was by no means easy but certainly spectacular.  Read more

 
GEORGE, GERAGHTY DOMINATE HALF Monday, 24 May 2010

Noosa_Half_Marathon_2010_01Dominate performances by local Sunshine Coast triathlete Tim George and Brisbane long distance running sensation Clare Geraghty earned them the 2010 Noosa Half Marathon titles yesterday morning.  Breaking into the winners circle after finishing fourth here last year, George clocked a one hour 10 minutes and 50 seconds for the 21.1km course ahead of Sydney's Barry Keem and Steven Page.  Read more
